Hello my name is Purushotham Francis Burgula. I have been in full time ministry for more than 30 years. I was born and raised in India, grew up playing lot of sports and listening to music. I received Jesus as my personal savior when I was 15 and was nurtured in my faith during my college years through Inter-Varsity in India. Though Cricket was my passion and dream, God called me to full time ministry in a conference on Missions, so I went to Union Biblical Seminary in Pune and got my Bachelor of Divinity. In I991 Sunitha and I got married and started working with University / College students in India from 1991 to 2000.
I went to Talbot Seminary in California and completed my Master’s and PHD in Christian education with a focus on Spiritual formation by the year 2006. I also served as a youth pastor during my Talbot years. We then moved to Irvine, California to serve as the lead pastor of a Baptist church, after serving there for 13 years my wife and I moved back to India to shepherd the families in full time ministry in India. We joined Standing Stone Ministry in 2018 and continue to be part of that ministry till today.
Sunitha and I are blessed with two grown children Richie and Reeny. I love sports (crazy about golf), outdoor adventures and travel but most importantly I am passionate about pursuing the abundant life promised by Jesus to all his followers. I spend most of my time mentoring pastors, counseling families, developing spiritually healthy leaders and recently resumed writing through this website. My greatest desire and passion is to finish well and help others in ministry to grow in grace and finish well.
